Short 2 to 3 Night Retreats from €205

Weekend Yoga Retreats in Pokhara

Three genuine short retreats in the quiet village of Ghachowk above Pokhara. Compare what each one includes, what it costs, and which one fits the days you actually have.

Short Yoga Retreats in Pokhara: How to Choose

Sometimes you do not have a week to spare, but you still need to reset. A short yoga retreat gives you two or three nights away from your routine: daily yoga and meditation, simple vegetarian food, a quiet room in a mountain village, and enough space for the mind to settle before you go back to ordinary life.

All of our short retreats run in Ghachowk, a farming village about a 30-minute drive above Lakeside Pokhara, and they all work the same way. We arrange pickup from Lakeside Pokhara or from the airport or bus station, and from arrival onward your accommodation, three vegetarian meals a day and every yoga and meditation session are covered by one price. Teaching is by instructors trained in Indian Himalayan ashrams, and groups stay small.

What changes between the three is the setting and the emphasis, and that is really the only decision to make. The Nature Yoga Retreat takes the practice outdoors, into forest clearings and to the water. The Sound Healing and Ayurvedic Retreat runs a night longer and puts healing work rather than activity at the centre. The Mountain Homestay Yoga Retreat places you inside a Nepali family home in the village. Prices start at €205 per person sharing.

Ghachowk offers what the Lakeside tourist strip cannot: real quiet, with no restaurant noise competing with your evening meditation. October and November give the clearest Himalayan views and the most settled weather, and March to May is nearly as good. Short retreats run year-round, including through the green, quieter monsoon months from June to September when there is more rain.

What Every Short Retreat Includes

Accommodation in Ghachowk

A clean, simple room in the village with mountain views, in either a sharing or a private room. Comfortable rather than luxurious: this is a yoga retreat, not a hotel.

Three Vegetarian Meals a Day

Organic vegetarian food prepared along sattvic lines, mostly sourced from local farms, with herbal tea. Vegan, gluten-free and other dietary needs are accommodated with advance notice.

All Yoga and Meditation Sessions

Every yoga and meditation session on your chosen retreat is included in the price, along with the activities listed for that retreat.

Ashram-Trained Teachers

Teaching comes from instructors trained in Indian Himalayan ashrams, so the practice includes philosophy and breath work, not only physical postures.

Real Village Quiet

All three retreats run in Ghachowk rather than the Lakeside tourist area. No bar noise, no hustle: just birds, wind and the Annapurna range.

Pickup Arranged

We arrange pickup from Lakeside Pokhara, a 30-minute drive, or from Pokhara airport or the tourist bus station. Detailed directions are sent once you book.

Really nice spot to stay some days in Pokhara in between trekkings. Lovely yoga classes from Deepika 2 times a day. Oasis of peace with little garden in the center of Pokhara near the lakeside.

Retreat FAQs

Start with the days you have. If you only have a weekend, it is between the Nature Yoga Retreat and the Mountain Homestay Yoga Retreat, both 3 days and 2 nights. Choose Nature (from €205) if you want to practise outdoors, in forest clearings and by the water. Choose the Homestay (from €245) if you want to live with a Nepali family, eat home-cooked food and see village life from the inside; it takes a maximum of 4 guests. If you can spare a third night, the Sound Healing and Ayurvedic Retreat runs 4 days and 3 nights from €210 and centres on sound healing and Ayurveda.
Accommodation, three vegetarian meals daily, all yoga and meditation sessions, and the activities listed for the retreat you choose. One price covers the whole stay, so there is nothing further to pay at the centre.
Airfare to Nepal, visa fees, personal expenses, and any optional excursions not listed for your retreat. Everything else on the retreat programme is covered.
Sharing is the lower price on all three retreats: €205 for the Nature Yoga Retreat, €210 for the Sound Healing and Ayurvedic Retreat and €245 for the Mountain Homestay Yoga Retreat. A private room adds €20 on the Nature Yoga Retreat, €30 on the Sound Healing and Ayurvedic Retreat and €35 on the Mountain Homestay Yoga Retreat. If you are travelling alone and value solitude between sessions, take the private room; if you are travelling with a partner or friend, sharing is the natural choice.
A short retreat will not do what a week-long immersion does. What it does do is break your routine completely for two or three days, give you a structured daily practice with a teacher, and put you somewhere quiet enough to notice how you actually feel. If your alternative is not going at all, a weekend is worth taking.
Yes. All three short retreats welcome complete beginners as well as experienced practitioners, and instructors offer modifications throughout. Tell us about any injuries or physical limitations when you book so your teachers can adapt the practice.
Yes. All meals are vegetarian. Vegan, gluten-free and other dietary needs are accommodated with advance notice, so let us know when you book. Nepali cuisine is naturally rice-based and flexible on dairy, which makes most requirements straightforward.
We arrange pickup from Lakeside Pokhara, a 30-minute drive, or from Pokhara airport or the tourist bus station. Detailed directions are provided once you book, and local taxis are also available if you prefer to make your own way.
October and November give the clearest Himalayan views and the most comfortable temperatures, and March to May is also excellent. Short retreats run year-round; the monsoon months of June to September bring lush green scenery and fewer tourists, along with more rain.
Send us the dates you have, which of the three retreats you are leaning towards, and whether you want a sharing or private room. Message us on WhatsApp or use the contact form, and we will confirm availability, answer any remaining questions, and send you directions and pickup details.
