Have you always wanted to try yoga but didn't know where to start? Our beginner-friendly classes in peaceful Ghachowk provide the perfect introduction. Learn yoga fundamentals with patient instructors who understand that everyone starts somewhere.
Unlike crowded tourist studios, our beginner classes happen in a serene village setting with Himalayan views. Small class sizes mean you get personal attention and never feel lost in a crowd. This is authentic yoga taught the traditional way - accessible to everyone.
Whether you're completely new to yoga or returning after a long break, our beginner classes will help you build a strong foundation in a supportive, non-judgmental environment.
What You'll Learn
Basic Postures (Asanas)
Learn foundational yoga poses with proper alignment. We break down each pose step-by-step so you understand correct form and how to modify for your body.
Breathing Techniques
Discover how breath links movement and mind. Basic pranayama exercises to calm your nervous system and enhance your practice.
Mindfulness Basics
Introduction to meditation and present-moment awareness. Learn to observe thoughts without judgment and cultivate inner peace.
Yoga Etiquette
Understanding yoga class culture, how to use props, when to rest, and how to practice safely. Feel confident from day one.
What to Expect in Class
Centering & Warm-up (10 min)
Begin with breathing exercises and gentle movements to prepare your body and mind.
Standing Poses (20 min)
Learn foundational standing poses like Mountain Pose, Warrior poses, and Tree Pose with detailed guidance.
Seated & Floor Poses (20 min)
Gentle stretches and poses done seated or lying down. Comfortable and accessible for everyone.
Relaxation (10 min)
End with guided relaxation (savasana) to integrate the practice and leave feeling refreshed.
Beginner Class Schedule & What to Bring
Daily classes at our Ghachowk center, 20 minutes from Lakeside Pokhara. Two slots are specifically designed for beginners.
10:00 AM - Beginner Friendly
60-minute Hatha class designed for first-timers. Slower pace, more cues, and time for questions. Held 7 days a week.
- • Duration: 60 minutes
- • Level: Complete beginner
- • Max group size: 6 students
6:00 AM - Sunrise Hatha
90-minute traditional Hatha with the Annapurnas at sunrise. All-levels, but expect a slightly faster pace than the 10 AM class.
- • Duration: 90 minutes
- • Level: All levels
- • Max group size: 6 students
