Start Your Teaching Journey

The 100-hour Yoga Teacher Training is the perfect entry point for those who want to begin teaching yoga or deepen their practice but have limited time. This intensive 11-day program in peaceful Ghachowk covers the foundations you need to start teaching beginner classes or assist senior teachers.

This program counts as the first half of our 200-hour certification. Complete your 100-hour now, return within 18 months for the remaining 100 hours, and graduate with full certification. Many students choose this path to spread their training over multiple visits to Nepal.

Our instructors trained extensively in Indian Himalayas Ashrams under masters who have spent decades in practice. This isn't theoretical knowledge from books - it's wisdom passed through direct transmission. You'll learn from teachers who embody what they teach.

The Ghachowk location provides the ideal environment for focused study. Clean mountain air for pranayama, natural quiet for concentration, and direct views of the Annapurna range create conditions that support deep learning. You'll live where you practice, immersing fully in the training.

100-Hour YTT FAQs

The 100-hour certificate is a foundational certification. It allows you to teach beginner classes and assist senior teachers. However, most yoga studios and gyms require the 200-hour certification for independent teaching. Think of 100-hour as the first half of your teaching journey.
Yes. Your 100-hour training counts as the first half of our 200-hour program. You can return within 18 months to complete the remaining 100 hours and receive full 200-hour certification. Many students choose this path to spread training over two visits to Nepal.
Our lead instructors trained extensively in Indian Himalayas Ashrams under masters who have spent decades in practice. Swami Ananda (our founder and spiritual head) brings Himalayan ashram wisdom and decades of teaching experience. Deepika Bhairavi teaches anatomy and asana with precision from championship-level training. Ratheesh (Shiva) brings traditional Himalayan lineage training. You'll learn from practitioners who embody what they teach.
Our Ghachowk center offers a dedicated yoga shala with mountain views, meditation spaces, and simple but comfortable accommodation. You'll live steps from where you practice - no commuting, full immersion. Rooms have private or twin-sharing options with attached bathrooms. Three daily vegetarian meals are included, prepared with care using mostly local organic ingredients. The environment supports focused study with natural quiet and Himalayan presence.
Comfortable clothing for practice, personal toiletries, any medications you require, a notebook and pen, and an open mind. We provide all yoga equipment, training manuals, and three meals daily. The climate is mild year-round, but bring layers for cooler mornings/evenings. Good walking shoes for exploring Ghachowk on free time.
Days begin at 6:00 AM with morning pranayama and meditation. Asana practice from 7:00-8:30 AM. Breakfast break, then technique workshops from 10:00 AM-12:30 PM. Lunch and rest. Afternoon sessions cover anatomy or philosophy from 3:00-5:00 PM. Evening meditation and dinner by 7:30 PM. One rest day per week.
We serve three daily organic vegetarian meals. Most ingredients come from local organic farms. Meals are prepared with care and can include gluten-free and vegan options on request. The diet is sattvic - fresh, nutritious, supporting yoga practice without being heavy. Herbal tea is available with breakfast and meals. We can accommodate most dietary restrictions with advance notice.
We recommend minimum 6 months of regular yoga practice before joining any teacher training. You should be familiar with basic asanas and comfortable with physical practice. However, you don't need to be advanced - our program builds from foundations. If you're unsure about readiness, contact us for a consultation.
100-hour covers the foundations: asana alignment, basic anatomy, philosophy introduction, and teaching basics. 200-hour goes deeper: full curriculum, more practice teaching hours, comprehensive philosophy study, and prepares you for independent teaching. 100-hour is perfect if you have time constraints or want to test the waters.
You'll be qualified to teach beginner classes and assist experienced teachers. Many graduates teach at gyms, community centers, or offer private classes to beginners. To teach at established yoga studios, you'll typically need the 200-hour certification. The 100-hour gives you a strong foundation to continue toward full certification.
Yes. Evenings after 7:30 PM are free. One full rest day per week (usually Saturday) gives you time to explore Pokhara, rest, or self-study. The schedule is intensive but includes intentional rest for integration.
