Visa On Arrival Process
Follow these steps when you arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu
Fill Arrival Card
Arrival cards are available on the plane or at the airport. Fill in your personal details, passport information, and accommodation address. You can use your yoga school or first hotel as the address.
Use Electronic Kiosks (Optional)
Self-service kiosks are available to speed up the process. Enter your information, scan your passport, and take a photo. The kiosk prints a receipt to take to the visa counter. Staff can assist if needed.
Pay Visa Fee
Proceed to the visa fee counter. Payment accepted in USD (preferred), EUR, GBP, or major currencies. Credit/debit cards are accepted but cash is faster. Keep your receipt.
Receive Visa Sticker
Present your passport, payment receipt, and completed arrival card at the immigration counter. The officer will stamp your passport with the visa. Check the dates are correct before leaving the counter.
Collect Baggage & Exit
Proceed to baggage claim and customs. Nepal has minimal customs checks for personal items. Exit through the green channel unless you have goods to declare. Welcome to Nepal!
