Rather than focusing on psychological diagnosis or healing trauma, spiritual counselling helps you find meaning, purpose, and direction through the lens of spiritual wisdom traditions. We work with life challenges, decisions, and transitions using tools from yoga philosophy, meditation practices, and mindful awareness. For mental health concerns, we recommend working with a licensed mental health professional.
Sessions begin with creating a safe space for you to share what's on your heart and mind. Through attentive listening and guided dialogue, we explore your challenges from a spiritual perspective. Sessions may include: discussing your current situation and questions, exploring yoga philosophy principles relevant to your life, learning meditation or breathwork techniques, identifying patterns and blocks, and creating practical action steps. Each session is tailored to your needs.
Absolutely. Confidentiality is the foundation of our counselling relationship. What you share in sessions remains private between us. The only exceptions are situations involving immediate risk of harm to yourself or others, which we would discuss with you beforehand. You can speak openly and honestly without fear of judgment or disclosure.
This varies greatly depending on your needs and goals. Some people find clarity and direction in 2-3 sessions, while others benefit from ongoing support over several months. We typically start with an initial session to understand your situation, then recommend a path forward. You're always in control of the pace and can schedule sessions as needed. Packages are available for those seeking structured support.
Both options are available. Online sessions via Zoom work beautifully for spiritual counselling - many students find the comfort of their own home environment helpful for opening up. In-person sessions at our Ghachowk center offer the added benefit of the peaceful Himalayan setting and can include guided meditation practices in our meditation hall. Choose what works best for your situation.
We understand that plans change. Please provide at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours notice are charged at full rate. This policy allows us to maintain availability for all students. For genuine emergencies, please reach out and we'll work with you to find a solution.
