The Structure of Transformation

Yoga teacher training is intensive by design. The daily schedule may seem demanding, but each element serves a purpose. Early mornings align you with natural rhythms. Multiple practice sessions build teaching stamina. Philosophy lectures in the afternoon use your reflective mind. Evening meditation integrates the day's learning.

This schedule has evolved over years of training teachers. It's not arbitrary - it's optimized for learning and transformation. By the end of training, this rhythm feels natural. Many graduates continue similar routines in their own teaching lives.

Rest days are built in - typically one full day off per week plus lighter afternoons. Your body and mind need integration time. The schedule is intensive but not unsustainable.

Really nice spot to stay some days in Pokhara in between trekkings. Lovely yoga classes from Deepika 2 times a day. Oasis of peace with little garden in the center of Pokhara near the lakeside.

8-10-Hour YTT FAQs

The schedule helps reset your body clock. Most students adjust within 3-4 days. The natural light and lack of evening screens make early rising easier than expected. It's uncomfortable at first, then becomes natural.
Yes - typically 1-2 hours in the afternoon and evenings. Plus one full rest day per week. You'll need this time for study, journaling, and integration. It's not vacation time, but it's not constant activity either.
Attendance is mandatory for certification. If you're unwell, inform staff and rest. Occasional tiredness isn't a reason to skip - learning to practice when tired is part of teaching preparation.
Rest days are yours to use as you wish. Some students explore Pokhara, others rest completely. Optional activities may be offered but nothing is mandatory. Many use the time for study and practice.
The basic structure is consistent, but content varies. Morning practice might be Hatha one day, Ashtanga the next. Afternoon lectures rotate between philosophy, anatomy, and methodology. Variety within structure.
